SUNNYSIDE UP CONEY STYLE

Getting away for even a few hours has been more rewarding than trying to take time for a vacation. That in itself is quite the struggle. So I decided to rather the troops and head down to Coney Island with the following to check off my summer list: 1.) Check out the restoration and 2.) Blow some money riding some stupid carnival rides and eating extra-fried anything. I can tell you this much: mission accomplished. (Fried oreos coming up in part two!)

I'm also very nostaglic for Santa Cruz back home. The boardwalk will always be one of my favorite places to go; to rally the friends, grab some brews and road trip it down to the Boardwalk. There have been many a memory made there including sexy freshman in speedos. Hey young men.

Where are you guys escaping lately? I haven't really left the city to head upstate because, well, I'm absurdly scared of the ciadas. So. There's that. But any tips of cool places to go would be much appreciated. Or even if you've got a good tip of having a staycation. I'm all about those.
